Chanterelle season

Last week our neighbour handed us in a side of rainbow trout he caught along the beach from here. I wish we took a picture before we ate it - it was beautiful. Never mind a picture of the cooked fish which tasted beautiful! Soft, gentle and fresh. And zinged right up with garden herbs, chilli and little tomatoes. As a thank you I took round some radish and spinach fresh picked from the garden - and came back with these... chanterelles picked locally by someone in the village. I can feel a chanterelle tart coming on! It's safe to say we are on the winning side of this to and fro!
