Craft week

It's been a week or two of sewing, knitting and crocheting stuff, while the other half fixes stuff. Some might say we are nesting! Either that or we've found new things to fill the time previously spent in the pub :) Either way, I have at last completed my first knitting project in years. And here it is - a cardigan for Junior - riddled with mistakes and a good bit bigger than it should have been according to the pattern!
It's been quite a learning curve - and I can now do a bunch of things I couldn't do before - and there's been plenty knitting lessons learned, such as: Easy patterns are not easy. Higher maths equations (even after all these years) often makes more sense. Silk / bamboo yarn is not forgiving (where mistakes are concerned). It is not possible to knit and do anything else at all at the same time, except maybe breath, and not always that. I can't keep count. Now i've finished the cardi I've moved on to some smaller, simpler crochet projects as inspired by Shalini's gorgeous crochet bunting:
